Product Description
- The HPS-16x series is a new generation of high-performance time-of-flight (ToF) infrared ranging sensors, equipped with optimally designed transmitting and receiving optical lenses, and is suitable for high-precision, long-distance ranging situations. Different from traditional technology, its measurement accuracy is not affected by the color and reflectivity of the measurement target. When the target is white, the HPS-167-L series measurement distance can reach 40 meters.
- The HPS-16x series integrates a high-power 850nm infrared VCSEL emitter or infrared LED emitter. It is equipped with a high-sensitivity photodiode receiver and an internally integrated physical infrared filter, making it longer in measuring distance and stronger in resisting ambient light interference.
- The internal integration of advanced embedded data processing filtering algorithms achieves very stable and real-time measurement result output.

ToF Ranging Sensor
- A new generation of high-performance ToF (Time of Flight) ranging sensors, equipped with optimized design of transmitting and receiving optical lenses, built-in advanced filtering and data processing algorithms, and are suitable for high-precision, long-distance ranging situations.

Principle Introduction
- ToF principle: ToF is the abbreviation of Time of Flight, which is literally translated as time of flight. By continuously sending light pulses to the target, and then using a sensor to receive the light returned from the object, the target distance is obtained by detecting the flight (round-trip) time of these emitted and received light pulses.
- The control unit on the camera turns the light source on and off again, emitting a pulse of light. At the same moment, the control unit opens and closes the electronic shutter on the chip. The charge S0 generated in this way by the light pulse is stored on the photosensitive element. The control unit then switches the light source on and off a second time. This time the shutter opens later, when the light source is turned off. The charge S1 now generated is also stored on the photosensitive element.
- Because the duration of a single light pulse is very short, this process is repeated thousands of times until the exposure time is reached. The values in the light sensor are then read and the actual distance can be calculated based on these values.
